Diabetes and hypertension workshop for refugees (2020)
An educational workshop held for a group of Chin refugee mothers aiming to share the knowledge of two of the very common diseases: diabetes and hypertension. The workshop focused on explaining what are those diseases, what are the causes of the diseases, and most importantly how one can prevent them. During the workshop, KMY Project had also shared with the refugees of some common and affordable foods or vegetables that are beneficial in such diseases prevention.

Digitalizing nutritional and health education via social media platform (2020)
Since mid of 2020, KMY Project had embraced all our activity online, where we focus on filling the gap of providing the pubilc, or more specifically university students, with an accurate and reliable source of nutritional and healthcare information through a well established platform, the social media. We take pride in the information we share, where we ensure only to gather our information from creditable and reliable sources. Through this ongoing effort, KMY Project hopes that we could encourage more to catch-up to the latest healthcare trends and news, embrace a heathier lifestyle.


KMY Project Strategic Planning: Meet the refugees (2019)
During the strategic planning which aimed to draft the future events in KMY Project, we had a forum session with one of the representative from the refugee community that KMY Project had served. KMY Project members were given the opportunity to understand the refugee community better, in the aspect of their difficuilties and harships, the refugees’ current situation and most importantly, their current needs, in which helped KMY Project in catering more appropriate volunteering events to help the underserved community.


Dengue Workshop for Refugees (2019)
An educational workshop held for a group of Chin refugee mothers aiming to share the knowledge of dengue fever. During the workshop, KMY Project had presented to the refugees on the cause and reproductive cyle of Aedes mosquitoes, the danger of dengue fever and the use of papaya leaves to ease dengue fever. The highlight of the workshop was a simple DIY activity with the refugees to build a reusable simple mosquito trap with used plastic bottles and baking yeast.
