Module 4.0 was conducted to introduce Ecobricks. Ecobricks are plastic bottles packed solid with non-biodegradable plastics to make building blocks. Applications of Ecobricks include making modular furniture, garden spaces and buildings. Throughout the workshop, young refugee students aged 7-16 learnt the process of making an Ecobrick and we were proud to announce that 19 Ecobricks made from 500ml plastic bottles were completed. Approximately 3.5kg of non-biodegradable plastic waste was repurposed into useful building blocks. Besides pioneering impactful projects, Initiative Z also targets to raise awareness among the young.
